For those of you who need to be reminded, a HOMONYM is a word that sounds the same, is spelled the same but can have different meanings:

The irony in the word MEAN:
  1. to bring, cause, or produce as a result
  2. to intend for a particular purpose, destination

  4. to have the value of; assume the importance of
  5. to have (certain intentions) toward a person
  6. offensive, selfish, or unaccommodating; nasty; malicious

  8. unimposing or shabby
